Group Travel Information

Group Tours:

Group tours are available on board the streetcar Monday through Friday from 11am to 3pm. Reservations are required; two weeks’ notice preferred. Weekend tours are subject to availability and must be arranged four weeks in advance. Tours are appropriate for all ages from pre-school to adult.

Guides are included in the per person fare of $2.00/$1.00 one-way. Guides are only available with advance reservations. A one-way trip will take approximately 25 minutes. Please allow 45-60 minutes for a roundtrip excursion.

Streetcar Tour Programs Offered:

Streetcar Ride Only (Group Boarding)

Enjoy a 25-minute end-to-end air-conditioned ride on one of our historic replica streetcars.

Reservations are not required but requested for groups of 10 or more.

No guide is provided.

Fare cards and brochures can be obtained in advance.

Guidance is available on parking locations, restaurants, and additional attractions.

Available during regular operating hours, 7 days a week.

Streetcar Guided Tour

A guide will meet your group at the station of your choice at a prearranged time.

All details are discussed in advance, including fare card sales. Guidance is available on parking locations, restaurants, and additional attractions.

Guide will provide a narrative along the streetcar route. Topics covered include the history of Tampa’s streetcars, how the streetcar works, economic development along the line, the history of the areas along the line, and points of interest.

Tours last approximately 25 minutes (one way)

Guides will be provided for no additional charge. Group participants pay only their fare - One Way: $2.00 for patrons ages 18-64, $1.00 for children 5-17 & seniors 65+. 1-Day Unlimited Ride Fare Cards are available for $4.00, $2.00 discount.

Ybor Station “Behind the Scenes” Tour

Take a “behind the scenes” look at Ybor Station, our maintenance facility. Learn what has to happen before the streetcars go into service, what happens at the end of the day, and the work done to keep the streetcars running. Also, get a look at Birney #163, the 1920s Birney Safety Car that was fully restored by the Tampa & Ybor City Street Railway Society.

Trip planning assistance (fare cards, parking locations, restaurants, and additional attractions)

Take a guided tour on the streetcar either before or after visit to Ybor Station.

Reservations are required; two weeks’ notice preferred.

Cost is $4.00/person, $2.00-discount, for a 1-day unlimited ride fare card.
